4. Installation Guide

4.1. Surface Preparation

NewTechWood Quick Deck tiles are designed for installation on solid and semi-flat surfaces such as rooftops, existing decks, patios, porches, and balconies. It is not recommended to lay these tiles directly over grass. If installation on the ground is desired, a well-compacted layer of crushed gravel and sand should be installed first to ensure proper drainage and stability.

4.2. Basic Assembly

The Quick Deck tiles feature a simple dovetail snap-together system. No special tools are required for basic assembly.

1. Begin installation from the outside edge of your desired area and work your way inward. This ensures that any cut tiles will be positioned against a wall or house, providing a cleaner finish.
2. Align the dovetail tabs on one tile with the corresponding slots on an adjacent tile.

4.3. Cutting Tiles

3. Cut the tile using a table saw, chop saw, circular saw, or jigsaw. A regular carbide-tipped blade is suitable.
4. After cutting, use 180-grit sandpaper or higher to sand the cut edge smooth for a clean finish.
