3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the Portronics Vayu inflator. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the device and a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The digital display will indicate charging status. A full charge ensures optimal performance, especially for cordless operation.

3.2 Attaching the Inflation Hose

1. Screw the inflation hose securely onto the inflation port of the device.
2. Select the appropriate nozzle adapter for the item you wish to inflate and attach it to the other end of the inflation hose.

4.1 Using the Built-in Rechargeable Battery

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

• Press and hold the Power button to turn the device on or off.
• The digital display will illuminate upon power-on.

5.2 Selecting Units and Preset Modes

• Unit Selection: Press the 'M' (Mode) button briefly to cycle through pressure units (PSI, BAR, KPA, KG/CM²).
• Preset Modes: Press the 'M' button and hold for a few seconds to cycle through preset inflation modes for different items (Car, Motorcycle, Bicycle, Ball, Custom). Each mode has a default pressure setting.

5.3 Setting Desired Pressure

• After selecting a preset mode or the custom mode, use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the target pressure.
• The digital display will show the current pressure and the target pressure.

5.4 Inflation Process

1. Ensure the inflation hose is securely attached to the device and the correct nozzle adapter is fitted.
2. Connect the nozzle adapter to the valve of the item you wish to inflate. The device will automatically detect and display the current pressure.
3. Set your desired target pressure using the '+' and '-' buttons.
4. Press the Power button to start inflation. The device will begin pumping air.
5. The inflator will automatically shut off once the preset target pressure is reached.
6. Disconnect the nozzle from the item and then from the inflator.
