Setup and Installation
Power Connection
The searchlight operates on 9V-32V DC power. It comes with a DT plug wiring kit. For optimal performance and to prevent issues, direct wiring to the positive and negative terminals of your power source is recommended, especially for continuous or high-power use. If using a cigarette lighter adapter (not included with newer models, but mentioned in older descriptions), be aware that high current draw can cause the plug to overheat and melt. Always ensure your wiring is appropriate for the 66.96W actual power draw.
Mounting Options
The EXZEIT searchlight offers two primary installation methods:
- Fixed Installation:
For permanent and secure mounting, especially recommended for vehicles traveling at speeds up to 60 km/h. Use the four included screws to firmly attach the searchlight base to a stable surface. Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the unit's weight and withstand operational forces.
- Magnetic Base Installation:
For flexible and temporary placement, the searchlight is equipped with a magnetic base. This allows for quick attachment and removal from suitable metallic surfaces. Ensure the magnetic base is clean and free of debris for maximum adhesion. While convenient, fixed installation is generally more secure for dynamic environments.

Operating Instructions
Wireless Remote Control
The searchlight is operated using the provided wireless remote controllers. Each remote requires a 23A battery (not included). Ensure batteries are correctly installed before use.
Remote Functions:
- Power Button: Turns the searchlight ON/OFF.
- Arrow Buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right): Control the direction of the light beam.
- Up/Down: Adjusts vertical angle (110° total: 38° up, 71° down).
- Left/Right: Adjusts horizontal angle (360° continuous rotation).
- SOS Button: Activates the SOS distress signal flash function. Press again to deactivate.
Keep one remote as a spare in case the primary remote is lost or damaged.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the lens or damage the finish.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 23A battery in the remote controllers as needed.
- Wiring Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for corrosion, fraying, or loose terminals, especially in marine environments.
- Mounting Security: For fixed installations, periodically verify that mounting screws are tight and the unit is securely fastened. For magnetic installations, ensure the contact surface is clean and the magnet provides sufficient hold before each use.
Troubleshooting
- Light Does Not Turn On:
- Check power connections to ensure they are secure and receiving adequate voltage (9V-32V DC).
- Verify the remote control battery is functional and correctly installed.
- Ensure the remote is within the maximum operating range (130 ft / 40m).
- Inspect the wiring for any damage or loose connections.
- Remote Control Not Responding:
- Replace the 23A battery in the remote.
- Ensure no obstructions are blocking the signal between the remote and the searchlight.
- Try using the second remote controller if available.
- Power Plug Overheating/Melting (if using a cigarette lighter adapter):
- This issue can occur due to the high actual power draw (66.96W) exceeding the capacity of some cigarette lighter sockets or adapters.
- Solution: Discontinue use of the cigarette lighter adapter. Cut off the cigarette lighter plug and directly wire the searchlight to the positive and negative terminals of your vehicle's or boat's power system using the provided DT plug wiring kit. Ensure proper fusing for the circuit.
- Light Stops Working After Short Use:
- Check for melted plugs or blown fuses if connected via a cigarette lighter.
- Verify all wiring connections are secure and undamaged.
- Ensure the power source is stable and providing continuous power.
