5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert the provided AAA battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 Attaching the Lanyard
If desired, attach the lanyard to the designated loop on the pulse oximeter for convenient carrying.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Taking a Measurement
- Ensure your hand is relaxed and still.
- Open the clamp of the pulse oximeter.
- Insert one of your fingers (preferably the index, middle, or ring finger) into the rubber opening of the oximeter, ensuring your fingertip rests on the sensor.
- Release the clamp. The device will automatically turn on and begin measurement.
- Keep your finger still during the measurement. Readings for SpO2 and pulse rate will appear on the display within a few seconds.
- The device will automatically power off after approximately 8 seconds of inactivity.

6.2 Understanding Readings
The display shows two main values:
- SpO2 (%): This indicates the level of oxygen saturation in the blood. A normal value typically ranges from 94% to 100%.
- PR bpm (Heartbeats per minute): This indicates your pulse rate. A normal value typically ranges from 50 to 80 beats per minute.

6.3 Applications
The oximeter is useful for:
- Monitoring blood oxygenation for individuals with respiratory conditions such as sleep apnea, COPD, asthma, pneumonia, lung cancer, anemia, heart attack, or heart failure.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Clean the surface of the oximeter with a soft cloth dampened with medical alcohol (70% ethanol or isopropanol).
- Do not immerse the device in water or any other cleaning solution.

7.2 Battery Replacement
