Remapping Process:

  1. Enter Remap Mode: Press and hold the central Setting Button on the back of the controller for 3-5 seconds until the LED indicator light turns on.
  2. Select Back Button: Press the specific back button (K1, K2, K3, or K4) you wish to remap. The LED indicator will flash.
  3. Assign Function: While holding the back button, press the desired face button (e.g., X, O, Triangle, Square, L1, R1, etc.) on the front of the controller that you want to assign to the back button.
  4. Exit Remap Mode: Release both buttons, then press the Setting Button again to save the new assignment and exit remap mode. The LED indicator will turn off.

Repeat this process for each back button you wish to customize.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Buttons Not Responding: If certain buttons (e.g., PS button, D-pad left) do not respond after installation, this may indicate an issue with the flex cable connections. Carefully re-open the controller and ensure all flex cables are securely seated and making proper contact. Sometimes, adding a small piece of cushioning material to the contact points can improve connectivity.
  • Remap Kit Not Functioning: Double-check that the remap board is correctly installed and all connections are firm. Ensure your controller is a compatible BDM-010 or BDM-020 model.
  • LED Indicator Issues: If the LED indicator does not light up or behaves unexpectedly, verify the power connections to the remap board.
  • General Malfunctions: If you experience any other issues, refer back to the installation video to review each step. Ensure no components were damaged during installation.
