2. Safety Information
- Always operate the metal detector in a safe environment, away from live electrical wires or hazardous materials.
- The control box is not waterproof. Avoid submerging the control box in water. Only the search coil is designed for underwater use.
- Ensure batteries are inserted correctly according to polarity markings. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
- Keep the device out of reach of small children when unsupervised.
- Do not attempt to modify or disassemble the detector, as this may void the warranty and cause damage.

5. Setup and Assembly
5.1 Assembling the Metal Detector
- Attach the search coil to the lower stem.
- Connect the lower stem to the middle stem, and then to the upper stem which holds the control box and armrest.
- Secure all connections firmly.
- Adjust the stem length to a comfortable position. The stem is adjustable from approximately 83.8 cm (33 inches) to 106.7 cm (42 inches).
- Insert the required batteries into the control box compartment.

5.2 Assembling the Folding Shovel
The included folding shovel can be assembled for use:
- Unfold the shovel head and secure it into position.
- Attach the handle extension if desired.
- A compass is integrated into the handle for navigation.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- To turn ON the unit, rotate the switch clockwise away from the "OFF" position.
- To turn OFF the unit, rotate the switch counter-clockwise to the "OFF" position.
6.2 Detection Modes
Your metal detector features two primary detection modes:
- ALL METAL Mode: This mode identifies all types of metals, including coins, relics, jewelry, gold, copper, and silver. It is ideal for general treasure hunting when you want to find any metallic object.
- DISC (Discrimination) Mode: This mode allows you to discriminate specific metals, filtering out unwanted items like iron or trash. Adjust the DISC knob to set the discrimination level.
6.3 Adjusting Sensitivity and Volume
- SENS (Sensitivity) Knob: Adjusts the detector's sensitivity to metal objects. Higher sensitivity can detect smaller or deeper objects but may also pick up more interference.
- VOLUME Knob: Controls the audio output level of the detector.
6.4 Detecting Metal
- Sweep the search coil slowly and steadily over the ground.
- When a metal object is detected, the unit will emit an audible beep, and the pointer on the display will swing to the right.
- The closer the search coil is to the target metal, the stronger the signal indicated on the meter.
- The detector can identify objects up to approximately 8 inches deep.
6.5 Using the Waterproof Search Coil
The search coil is waterproof, allowing for detection in shallow water environments such as beaches, streams, or wet yards. Important: The control box is NOT waterproof and must not be submerged.

Image 6.1: This image illustrates the ergonomic design, typical 8-inch detection depth, the functionality of the discrimination mode to filter targets, and the waterproof search coil being used in a wet environment.

Image 6.2: An adult and a child are shown using the metal detector on a beach, highlighting the adjustable stem feature that accommodates users of various heights.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the detector with a damp cloth after each use. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the search coil is clean, especially after use in sand or mud.
- Storage: Store the detector in a dry, cool place when not in use. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
- Battery Care: Replace batteries when the "LOW BAT" indicator illuminates. Always use fresh batteries of the specified type.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. | Replace batteries or check polarity. |
| Weak or inconsistent signal | Low battery, high discrimination setting, or low sensitivity. | Replace batteries, reduce DISC setting, increase SENS. |
| False signals or chatter | High sensitivity, electromagnetic interference, or mineralized ground. | Reduce SENS, move away from power lines/electronics, try ALL METAL mode or adjust DISC. |
| Control box got wet | Accidental submersion or exposure to heavy rain. | Immediately turn off, remove batteries, and allow to dry completely. Do not use until fully dry. |
