Setup

Setting up your CACKBIRD keyboard is straightforward. It is a plug-and-play device, requiring no additional drivers or software installation.

  1. Connect the USB Cable: Locate the USB-C port on the right side of the keyboard. Connect the smaller USB-C end of the provided cable to the keyboard and the standard USB-A end to an available USB port on your computer (PC, Mac, or Xbox).

  2. Power On: The keyboard will automatically power on and its LED backlighting will illuminate once connected to a powered USB port.
  3. Adjust Kickstands (Optional): For improved ergonomics, you can extend the foldable kickstands located on the underside of the keyboard to achieve a comfortable typing angle.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

The CACKBIRD 60% keyboard features a compact 61-key layout. Many functions are accessed via the Fn (Function) key in combination with other keys.

  • Typing: Standard QWERTY layout for general typing.
  • Arrow Keys: Press Fn + Space to toggle between standard spacebar function and arrow key functionality (Up, Down, Left, Right).
  • Multimedia Keys: Access multimedia controls (e.g., volume, play/pause) by holding the Fn key and pressing the corresponding F-row keys (F1-F12) or other designated keys. Refer to the keycap legends for specific functions.

LED Backlight Customization

Maintenance
