5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the building kit, gently wipe the parts with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the plastic components or electronic parts.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the building kit and its components in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Disassemble the models if desired for compact storage. Ensure the battery is fully charged before long-term storage to maintain its health.
5.3 Battery Care
To prolong the life of the rechargeable battery, avoid completely draining it before recharging. Recharge the battery regularly, even if the toy is not frequently used. Do not overcharge the battery.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Remote Control Not Working / Indicator Light Does Not Come On
If the remote control is not responding or its indicator light does not come on, follow these steps:
- Check Batteries: Ensure the AAA batteries in the remote control are new and inserted with correct polarity.
- Adjust Metal Plates: Sometimes, the plastic housing can prevent proper contact between the battery's positive end and the remote's metal plate. Carefully remove the batteries. Using a flat-head screwdriver, gently bend the metal positive plates slightly outwards to ensure better contact with the battery terminals. You do not need to disassemble the remote control for this.
- Reinsert Batteries: Place the batteries back into the remote control.
- Test: Turn on the remote control. The indicator light should now blink and then become solid when paired with the main unit.
This is a common and easy fix. If the issue persists, ensure the main unit's battery is charged and powered on.
6.2 Model Not Responding
- Check Main Unit Battery: Ensure the rechargeable battery in the main unit is fully charged.
- Check Connections: Verify that all power function motors and the battery unit are securely connected to the building blocks and to each other.
- Re-pair: Turn both the remote control and the main unit off, then turn them back on to re-establish the connection.
