3. Product Features

  • Ultra-Rugged Design: IPX7 splashproofing ensures the Ranger is protected from water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, making it ideal for poolside, beach, or outdoor use. The rubberized body provides protection against daily impacts and light drops.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided charging cable to the Micro USB port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

4.2 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power/Play/Pause button for approximately 3 seconds to turn the speaker ON or OFF. A voice prompt will indicate the power status.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered ON and in Bluetooth pairing mode (indicated by a flashing LED).
  2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Coby Ranger" from the list.
  4. Once paired, the LED indicator will become solid, and you will hear a confirmation tone.

4.4 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

To pair two Coby Ranger speakers for stereo sound:

  1. Ensure both speakers are powered ON and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
  2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), double-press the Mode (M) button. It will search for the second speaker.
  3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. A confirmation tone will sound once connected.
  4. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 4.3.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Button Functions

  • Power/Play/Pause Button:
    • Press and hold for 3 seconds to Power ON/OFF.
    • Short press to Play/Pause music.
    • Short press to Answer/End a call.
    • Press and hold to Reject a call.
  • Volume + / Next Track Button:
    • Short press to increase volume.
    • Press and hold to skip to the next track.
  • Volume - / Previous Track Button:
    • Short press to decrease volume.
    • Press and hold to go to the previous track.
  • Mode (M) Button:
    • Short press to switch between Bluetooth, FM Radio, AUX, and TF Card modes.
    • Double-press to initiate TWS pairing (in Bluetooth mode, when not connected to a device).

5.2 FM Radio Operation

In FM Radio mode, short press the Play/Pause button to auto-scan and save available radio stations. Use the Volume +/- buttons to navigate between saved stations.

5.3 AUX/USB/TF Card Playback

Insert an AUX cable, USB flash drive, or TF (SD) card into the respective port. The speaker will automatically switch to the corresponding mode and begin playback. Use the speaker's controls for playback and volume adjustments.

6. Maintenance

  • Clean the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure the port cover is securely closed when near water to maintain IPX7 rating.
  • Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid exposing the speaker to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • To preserve battery life, charge the speaker at least once every 3 months if not used regularly.

7. Troubleshooting
