Setup and Initial Use

The Deerma Dehumidifier is ready for use out of the box. No complex setup is required. Simply place the unit in the desired small space where moisture absorption is needed.

Indicator Beads

The device features silica gel beads that change color to indicate their saturation level. When the beads are orange, the dehumidifier is dry and ready to absorb moisture. As moisture is absorbed, the beads will gradually turn to dark green, indicating saturation and the need for renewal.

Operating Instructions

The dehumidifier operates passively by absorbing moisture from the air. It is designed for small spaces up to 5 square meters, such as wardrobes, cabinets, jewelry boxes, and gym bags.

Moisture Absorption Cycle

Once placed, the silica gel beads will begin absorbing moisture. The duration of effective absorption can vary from 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the humidity levels in the environment. In higher humidity regions, the beads may turn dark green faster.

Maintenance and Renewal

The Deerma Dehumidifier is reusable. When the silica gel beads turn dark green, it indicates they are saturated with moisture and need to be renewed.

Renewal Process

When the silica gel beads have turned dark green, locate the power plug on the unit.
Plug the dehumidifier into a standard electrical outlet.
Allow the unit to heat and dry for approximately 12-15 hours. During this process, the absorbed moisture will evaporate, and the beads will return to their original orange color.
Once the beads are orange, unplug the device. It is now ready for another cycle of moisture absorption.

Note: The device will be non-usable during the renewal period. Ensure the unit is completely dry (beads are orange) before placing it back into use.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Silica gel beads do not change color or remain orange despite high humidity.	Extremely low humidity in the environment. Unit may not be placed in an area with sufficient moisture. Unit may be faulty (less common).	Ensure the dehumidifier is placed in a confined space with noticeable humidity (e.g., a damp closet, a sealed container). Verify the humidity level of the intended space. If the issue persists in a clearly humid environment, contact customer support.
Beads turn dark green too quickly (less than 2-3 weeks).	Very high humidity levels in the environment. Space is larger than recommended (5 square meters).	This is normal behavior in highly humid conditions. The unit is working effectively. Consider using multiple units for larger spaces or more frequent renewal cycles.
Unit does not heat up or beads do not turn orange after plugging in for renewal.	Power outlet issue. Internal malfunction.	Check if the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device. Ensure the plug is fully inserted. If the problem persists, the unit may require service.
