1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Product Overview

The Johgee Smart Sprinkler System comprises two main components:

  • Water Timer: Connects directly to your outdoor tap and controls water flow to your irrigation system. It is battery-powered and communicates wirelessly with the Wi-Fi Hub.
  • Wi-Fi Hub (Gateway): Plugs into an indoor power outlet and connects to your home Wi-Fi network. It acts as a bridge between your mobile device (via the app) and the water timer, enabling remote control and scheduling.

5. Setup Guide

5.1. App Installation

  1. Download the "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (available on Android and iOS).
  2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

5.2. Connecting the Wi-Fi Hub

  1. Plug the Wi-Fi Hub into a power outlet indoors, ensuring it's within range of your home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the "Smart Life" app.
  3. Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled.
  4. In the app, select "Add Device" or the "+" icon in the top right corner.
  5. Navigate to the "Electrical" category and select "Switch (BLE + Wi-Fi)" or "Plug (BLE + Wi-Fi)" if "Switch" is not available.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to reset the device (usually by pressing and holding a button until an indicator blinks rapidly). Confirm the indicator is blinking rapidly in the app.
  7. Enter your Wi-Fi network password when prompted. The app will then search for and add the Wi-Fi Hub.
  8. Once successfully added, select "Done".

5.3. Pairing the Water Timer with the Wi-Fi Hub

  1. Install 2 AA alkaline batteries into the water timer.
  2. Attach the water timer to your outdoor tap. Ensure a tight fit to prevent leaks, using PTFE tape if necessary.
  3. In the Smart Life app, select the newly added "Wi-Fi Hub".
  4. Within the Wi-Fi Hub interface, look for an option to "Associate Bluetooth device" or "Add sub-device".
  5. Press and hold the button on the water timer until its indicator lights start blinking rapidly (or as per the timer's specific pairing mode).
  6. The app should detect the "Smart Water Timer". Select it and confirm to add it to the gateway.
  7. Once successfully added, the water timer will appear under your Wi-Fi Hub in the app.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Setting a Watering Schedule

  1. Open the Smart Life app and select your "Smart Water Timer".
  2. Tap on "Schedule" or "Timer" option.
  3. Choose between "Normal Schedule" for specific start times or "Cycle/Soak" for repeated watering intervals.
  4. Set the desired start time, irrigation duration (e.g., 10 minutes), and frequency (e.g., specific days of the week).
  5. Save your settings. The timer will now automatically water according to your schedule.

6.2. Manual Control

You can manually turn the water on or off directly from the app without affecting your programmed schedules.

  • On the main screen of the water timer in the app, you will see a manual control option (often a large button or dial).
  • Tap to activate or deactivate watering manually. You can also set a manual duration for a one-time watering session.

6.3. Rain Delay Function

The app can detect local weather conditions and allow you to delay watering to conserve water during rainy periods.

  • In the app, locate the "Rain Delay" or "Weather Delay" setting.
  • Select a delay period of 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.
  • The system will automatically pause scheduled watering for the selected duration.

7. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: The water timer requires 2 AA batteries. The app will provide a low battery reminder when the level drops below 5%. Replace batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
  • Winter Storage: During winter months or when temperatures are expected to drop below freezing, disconnect the water timer from the tap and store it indoors in a dry, frost-free location to prevent damage.
  • Cleaning: Periodically check the filter washer at the inlet of the water timer for debris and clean if necessary to maintain optimal water flow.

8. Troubleshooting
