2. Setup and Installation
Package Contents
Please ensure all items are present in the package:
- Johgee Automatic Garden Water Timer Unit
- User Manual
- Rubber Washers / O-rings (pre-installed or separate)
Battery Installation
The timer requires disposable batteries for operation (batteries are not included).
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer unit.
- Open the battery compartment cover by sliding or unscrewing it.
- Insert the required batteries (typically 2 x AA, refer to the compartment label for exact type and quantity), ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
- Securely close the battery compartment cover to ensure water resistance.

Connecting to Faucet
The timer is designed for easy attachment to most standard garden faucets with a 3/4" universal thread.
- Ensure the garden faucet is turned off before installation.
- Screw the top connector of the timer onto your garden faucet. Hand-tighten firmly to create a secure, leak-free seal. Do not overtighten, as this may damage the threads.
- Connect your garden hose or irrigation system to the outlet at the bottom of the timer. Ensure this connection is also tight.
- Slowly turn on the garden faucet. Check for any leaks at both connections. If leaks occur, tighten the connections further or check the rubber washers.

3. Operating Instructions
Understanding the Display and Buttons
The timer features a clear LCD display and intuitive buttons for easy programming and control.

- NOW: Displays the current time.
- START TIME: Indicates the programmed start time for the watering cycle.
- HOW LONG: Sets the duration of each watering cycle (1 second to 99 minutes).
- HOW OFTEN: Sets the frequency of watering (1 hour to 15 days).
- NEXT START: Shows the time until the next scheduled watering cycle begins.
- +/- Buttons: Used to increase or decrease numerical values during programming.
- DELAY Button: Activates or deactivates the Rain Delay function and Child Lock.
- ESC/OFF Button: Exits current settings or turns off the timer.
- Faucet Icon Button: Initiates or stops manual watering.
- Gear Icon Button (OK): Confirms settings and navigates through programming options.
Programming Automatic Watering
Follow these steps to set your automatic watering schedule:
- Press the Gear Icon (OK) button to enter programming mode.
- Use the +/- buttons to set the Current Time. Press OK to confirm.
- Set the START TIME for your first watering cycle. Press OK.
- Set the HOW LONG (watering duration) using the +/- buttons. This can be from 1 second to 99 minutes. Press OK.
- Set the HOW OFTEN (watering frequency) using the +/- buttons. This can be from 1 hour to 15 days. Press OK.
- Once all settings are confirmed, the timer will display the NEXT START time and begin its automatic schedule.

Rain Delay Function
The Rain Delay function allows you to temporarily pause your watering schedule to avoid overwatering during rainy conditions.
- Press the DELAY button.
- Use the +/- buttons to select the desired delay period (e.g., 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours).
- Press OK to confirm. The timer will pause its schedule for the selected duration and automatically resume afterward. The display will show a rain cloud icon and update the next start time.

Child Lock Mode
Activate the Child Lock to prevent unintended changes to your programmed settings.
- To Activate: Press and hold the DELAY button for 3 seconds. A lock icon will appear on the display, indicating that the controls are locked.
- To Deactivate: Press and hold the DELAY button for 3 seconds again. The lock icon will disappear, and the controls will be unlocked.

Manual Watering Function
Use the manual watering function for immediate, on-demand watering without altering your programmed schedule.
- Press the Faucet Icon button.
- Use the +/- buttons to set the desired duration for manual watering.
- Press OK to start manual watering. The water will flow for the set duration.
- To stop manual watering prematurely, press the Faucet Icon button again or ESC/OFF.

4. Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the life of your Johgee Water Timer.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the timer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the display or casing.
- Filter Screen: The inlet connection of the timer contains a filter screen to prevent debris from entering the unit. Periodically check this screen for accumulation of dirt or particles and clean it if necessary to ensure optimal water flow.
- Winter Storage: Before the first frost or during periods of freezing temperatures, disconnect the timer from the faucet and hose. Drain any remaining water from the unit. Store the timer indoors in a dry, frost-free location to prevent damage from freezing water.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure continuous and reliable operation. Always use new batteries of the specified type.
