Cooking Rice:
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. For best results, rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
- Add Water: Place the rinsed rice into the inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water. A general guideline is 1 cup of rice to 1.5-2 cups of water, but adjust according to rice type and desired consistency.
- Close Lid: Securely close the lid, ensuring the safety buckles are engaged to prevent water leakage and maintain warmth.
- Start Cooking: Plug the cooker into the 24V vehicle outlet. Push the integrated button down to the "Cook" position. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that cooking has started.
- Automatic Keep Warm: Once the rice is cooked (approximately 30 minutes for 2 cups), the cooker will automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" mode. The indicator light will change to reflect this.
- Serve: Allow the rice to rest in "Keep Warm" mode for 5-10 minutes for optimal texture. Use the provided spoon to fluff and serve.
Steaming Food:
- Prepare Food: Place vegetables, eggs, or other food items onto the steam plate.
- Add Water: Pour a small amount of water (e.g., 1-2 cups) into the inner pot. Do not fill above the steam plate level.
- Position Steam Plate: Carefully place the steam plate with food onto the inner pot.
- Cook: Close the lid and push the integrated button down to the "Cook" position. Steaming time will vary depending on the food type and quantity.
- Monitor: Periodically check the food for doneness. Once cooked, switch the button to the "Warm" position or unplug the unit.
Note: The cooker can simultaneously cook rice and steam food. Place rice and water in the inner pot, then place the steam plate with food on top before closing the lid and starting the cooking cycle.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your rice cooker.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the rice cooker from the vehicle's power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Inner Pot and Steam Plate: Wash the non-stick inner pot and steam plate with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers, as this can damage the non-stick coating. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Lid: Wash the lid with warm, soapy water. Pay attention to the steam vent and ensure no food particles are lodged. Rinse and dry.
- Main Unit Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the rice cooker. Store in a cool, dry place.
