Setup

Battery Installation

The thermometer comes with one AAA battery pre-installed and an extra one.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Use the provided screwdriver to open the battery cover.
  3. Insert the AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Securely close the battery cover.

Initial Power On & Temperature Unit Selection

To power on the device, simply unfold the stainless steel probe. The display will automatically illuminate.

To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), press and hold the "HOLD / °F/°C" button located on the front panel.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Temperature Reading

  1. Unfold the stainless steel probe to turn on the thermometer.
  2. Insert the probe tip into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bones or gristle.
  3. Wait for 2-3 seconds for the temperature reading to stabilize on the digital display.
  4. Refer to the temperature guide on the back of the thermometer or a reliable cooking chart for recommended internal temperatures.

Backlight Function

Press the light bulb button on the front panel to activate the backlight for easier reading in dim environments. Press again to turn it off.

Auto On/Off Feature

The thermometer automatically turns on when the probe is unfolded and turns off when the probe is folded back into the body. This feature helps conserve battery life.

Temperature Guide

A convenient temperature guide for various types of meat (poultry, beef, lamb, pork, veal, ground meat, fish) is printed on the back of the thermometer for quick reference.
