  1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a stable and secure location in your vehicle, such as the dashboard or floor, where the heater will not obstruct driving or vehicle controls. Ensure there is sufficient space for air circulation around the unit. The heater base includes mounting holes for secure attachment.
  2. Connect Power Cables:
    • Identify the positive (red) and negative (black) terminals on the heater unit.
    • Connect the red battery clamp to the red terminal on the heater.
    • Connect the black battery clamp to the black terminal on the heater.
    • Ensure the connections are tight and secure.
  3. Connect to Vehicle Battery:
    • Before connecting to the battery, ensure the vehicle's engine is off and the heater's switches are in the OFF position.
    • Connect the red battery clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's 12V battery.
    • Connect the black battery clamp to the negative (-) terminal of your vehicle's 12V battery.
    • Important: Use appropriate gauge wiring (minimum 10 AWG) for the connection to the battery to prevent overheating.
  4. Install Air Ducts:
    • Attach one end of each aluminum air duct to the three outlets on the front of the heater unit.
    • Secure the ducts with the provided hose clamps, tightening them firmly to prevent air leakage.
    • Route the ducts to direct warm air towards the windshield for defrosting/defogging, or towards the vehicle interior for general heating.

  1. Start Vehicle Engine: Ensure your vehicle's engine is running before turning on the heater. This prevents battery drain and ensures optimal performance.
  2. Power On: Locate the two red switches on top of the heater unit. Flip one or both switches to the ON position to activate the heater. The unit will begin to blow warm air from its outlets.
  3. Direct Airflow: Adjust the direction of the aluminum air ducts to target specific areas. For defrosting or defogging, aim the ducts directly at the windshield. For general cabin heating, direct them towards the interior space.
  4. Power Off: When heating is no longer required, flip the switches back to the OFF position.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your car heater:

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the heater unit with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Air Inlets/Outlets: Ensure the air inlets (located on the back of the unit) and outlets are free from obstructions like dust, leaves, or other foreign objects. Blocked airflow can lead to reduced performance and overheating.
  • Wiring Inspection: Annually or as needed, inspect the power cables and battery connections for any signs of wear, fraying, or corrosion. Ensure connections remain tight.
  • Storage: If storing the heater for an extended period, disconnect it from the battery and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Tiiyee Portable Car Heater, refer to the table below for common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Heater does not turn on.No power connection, incorrect wiring, blown fuse, vehicle engine off.Ensure battery clamps are securely connected to the correct terminals. Check the built-in fuse for continuity. Start the vehicle engine.
Insufficient heat output.Low voltage, obstructed air inlets/outlets, unit not running long enough.Ensure vehicle engine is running to provide stable 12V. Clear any obstructions from air inlets/outlets. Allow unit 5-10 minutes to reach full operating temperature.
Unit or wiring overheating/smoking.Incorrect wire gauge, loose connections, prolonged use without engine running, internal fault.Immediately disconnect power. Verify that 10 AWG or thicker wire is used for connections. Ensure all connections are tight. Always operate with the engine running. If problem persists, discontinue use and contact support.
Excessive noise during operation.Loose mounting, internal fan obstruction.Ensure the unit is securely mounted. Check for any foreign objects inside the air outlets or inlets.
