4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  4. Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.

4.2 Connecting the Base Unit and Charging Cradle

  1. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the TEL socket on the main base unit and the other end to your telephone wall jack.
  2. Connect one power adapter to the DC IN socket on the main base unit and plug the other end into a wall power outlet.
  3. Connect the second power adapter to the DC IN socket on the charging cradle and plug the other end into a wall power outlet.

4.3 Initial Charging

Place both handsets into their respective charging cradles. The display will indicate charging. For optimal battery performance, allow the handsets to charge continuously for 15-20 hours before first use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Making and Receiving Calls

  • To Make a Call: Pick up the handset, dial the desired number, and press the Green Call Button.
  • To Receive a Call: When the phone rings, press the Green Call Button.
  • To End a Call: Press the Red End Call Button or place the handset back in its cradle.

5.2 Hands-Free Function

During a call, press the Speakerphone Button (often depicted as a speaker icon) on the handset to activate or deactivate the hands-free mode. Use the navigation keys to adjust the speaker volume.

5.3 Using Direct Memory Keys (M1, M2, M3)

  • To Program: Press and hold the desired memory key (M1, M2, or M3). Enter the phone number you wish to save. Press the same memory key again to confirm and save.
  • To Dial: Simply press the desired memory key (M1, M2, or M3) to automatically dial the stored number.

5.4 Answering Machine Operation

The integrated answering machine on the base unit can record up to 30 minutes of messages.

  • Activation/Deactivation: Use the dedicated button on the base unit or access the answering machine menu via the handset.
  • Message Playback: Press the playback button on the base unit or select the playback option from the handset menu.
  • Recording Outgoing Message: Follow the instructions in the handset menu to record your personalized outgoing message.

During a call, press the Audio Boost Button (often marked with an ear icon and '+') on the side of the handset to instantly increase the receiver volume by up to +35dB for clearer listening.

The Smart Call Block feature helps reduce unwanted calls:

  • Manual Mode: Block individual numbers during a call or from the call history.
  • Automatic Mode: Only allows calls from numbers stored in your phonebook or registered as VIPs to ring through. All other calls are blocked.

  • Clean the phone surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
