1. Important Safety Instructions

Read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before operating the appliance. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Personal Safety: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts.
  • Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate the shredder in wet or damp conditions. Keep children and bystanders away from the operating area.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the specifications on the shredder. Do not use the appliance with a damaged cord or plug. Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning, maintenance, or if the machine is left unattended. The shredder features a waterproof housing and overload protection to prevent circuit damage.
  • Operation Safety: Never feed material larger than the specified maximum cutting capacity (45 mm). Do not force material into the shredder. Use the provided pusher tool to feed branches. The interlock design on the collection container prevents the machine from starting without the container properly inserted, ensuring safety.
  • Maintenance Safety: Before performing any maintenance or clearing blockages, ensure the machine is switched off and unplugged from the power supply.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your shredder.

  • Cleaning: After each use, switch off and unplug the shredder. Clean the feeding funnel and the blade area of any debris. Use a brush or compressed air. Do not use water directly on electrical components.
  • Blade Inspection: Periodically inspect the roller blades for wear or damage. The reversible and anti-blocking blade design helps reduce jamming, but blades may eventually require sharpening or replacement. Refer to the full service manual for blade replacement instructions.
