Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly install your iwillink Ethernet Wall Plate:
- Prepare the Wall: Ensure you have an existing low-voltage mounting bracket or a standard electrical box installed in the wall where you intend to place the Ethernet wall plate.
- Insert the Keystone Coupler: Gently push the RJ45 keystone inline coupler into the opening of the wall plate until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the coupler is oriented correctly.
- Connect Internal Cable: If running a new cable, feed your Ethernet cable (Cat5, Cat5E, or Cat6) through the wall opening. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the rear (internal) side of the keystone coupler.
- Mount the Wall Plate: Align the wall plate with the mounting bracket or electrical box. Use the provided screws to secure the wall plate to the wall. Do not overtighten.
