Setup
Before First Use:
- Unpack the coffee maker and remove all packaging materials.
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water.
- Wash the reusable filter (if applicable) and drip tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Perform a cleansing brew cycle:
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh water up to the MAX fill line.
- Place an empty mug on the drip tray.
- Close the lid without inserting a K-Cup or ground coffee filter.
- Press the brew button. The unit will dispense hot water.
- Discard the hot water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the unit is clean.
Operating Instructions
Brewing with K-Cups:
- Lift the lid of the coffee maker.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh water to your desired brew volume (6 to 14 oz). Refer to the water level markings.
- Insert a K-Cup pod into the K-Cup holder. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
- Place your mug on the drip tray.
- Press the brew button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
- Once brewing is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Carefully remove your mug.
- Dispose of the used K-Cup pod.

Brewing with Ground Coffee:
- Lift the lid of the coffee maker.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh water to your desired brew volume (6 to 14 oz).
- Open the reusable filter and add your desired amount of ground coffee (up to 3.5 tablespoons). Do not overfill.
- Close the reusable filter securely and place it into the K-Cup holder.
- Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
- Place your mug on the drip tray.
- Press the brew button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
- Once brewing is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Carefully remove your mug.
- Remove and clean the reusable filter after each use.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Daily Cleaning:
- Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning and allow it to cool completely.
- Remove and empty the drip tray. Wash it with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- If using the reusable filter, remove and rinse it under running water. Wash with soapy water as needed.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Self-Cleaning Function:
The InstaCoffee Max features a self-cleaning function to prevent mineral buildup. To activate:
- Ensure the unit is empty and no K-Cup or reusable filter is inserted.
- Fill the water reservoir to the MAX fill line with fresh water.
- Place an empty mug on the drip tray.
- Press and hold the brew button for 3 seconds. The unit will begin a cleaning cycle, dispensing hot water.
- Once the cycle is complete, discard the water.
Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
Mineral deposits can affect performance. Descale your coffee maker regularly:
- Prepare a descaling solution: Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water.
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution up to the MAX fill line.
- Place an empty mug on the drip tray.
- Run a brew cycle without a K-Cup or ground coffee.
- After the cycle, let the unit sit for 30 minutes with the solution inside.
- Run another brew cycle to dispense the remaining solution.
- Rinse thoroughly by running 2-3 cycles with fresh water only.
