Setup (Assembly Instructions)

This shelving unit features a boltless assembly design, allowing for quick setup without the need for screws or specialized tools. Assembly typically takes approximately 30 minutes.

Step 1: Prepare the Vertical Posts

Begin by connecting the vertical support posts. Each side of the shelving unit will consist of two vertical posts joined together. Ensure the slots align correctly.

Step 2: Assemble the First Shelf Level

Attach the horizontal beams to the vertical posts for the bottom shelf. Ensure all beams are securely locked into the slots. The beams should form a rectangular frame.

Step 3: Install Shelf Boards

Place the first shelf board onto the assembled frame. Ensure it sits flush and is stable.

Step 4: Continue Assembling Subsequent Shelves

Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the remaining four shelves. You can adjust the height of each shelf by selecting different slots on the vertical posts. Ensure each shelf is level before placing the board.

Step 5: Attach Plastic Feet

Optional Configuration: Two Half-Height Units

This shelving unit can also be assembled as two separate, half-height units. To do this, follow the assembly steps, but divide the vertical posts and shelves to create two smaller, independent racks.

Operating (Usage)

• Adjusting Shelf Height: The height of each of the 5 shelves is adjustable. To change a shelf's position, carefully remove the shelf board and then detach the horizontal beams from the vertical posts. Reattach the beams at the desired height by inserting them into the appropriate slots, ensuring they are securely locked.
• Weight Capacity: Each shelf can support up to 300 kg (661 lbs). The total maximum load for the entire unit is 1500 kg (3307 lbs). Distribute weight evenly across each shelf to prevent stress points and ensure stability.
• Placement: This shelving unit is suitable for various environments such as attics, basements, garages, or utility rooms. Ensure it is placed on a level and stable surface.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: To clean the metal frame and shelf boards, use a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Wipe dry immediately with a clean microfiber cloth to prevent water spots or rust. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the shelving unit for any signs of damage, loose connections, or instability. Ensure all beams are securely seated in their slots.

Troubleshooting

• Unit is Wobbly:
  • Ensure the unit is placed on a completely flat and level surface.
  • Verify that all horizontal beams are fully engaged and locked into the vertical post slots.
  • Check that the plastic feet are properly installed and making full contact with the floor.
• Difficulty Assembling Beams:
  • Ensure you are aligning the beam tabs correctly with the slots on the vertical posts.
  • A rubber mallet (not included) can be gently used to tap beams into place if they are tight, but avoid excessive force.
• Shelf Boards Don't Fit:
  • Double-check that the horizontal beams are correctly installed and form a perfect rectangle.
  • Ensure the shelf boards are oriented correctly.
