• Always use jack stands to support the vehicle after lifting. The floor jack is a lifting device only and is not designed to sustain a load.

4. Setup

1. Unpack the Jack: Carefully remove the floor jack and its components from the portable storage case. Inspect for any shipping damage.
2. Assemble the Handle: Insert the handle into the handle socket on the jack. Ensure it is securely fastened. The handle may consist of two pieces that need to be joined.
3. Bleed the Hydraulic System (Initial Use): Before first use, or if the jack has been stored for a long time, it is recommended to bleed any air from the hydraulic system. To do this:
   • Turn the release valve counter-clockwise to fully open it.
   • Pump the handle several times to expel any trapped air.
   • Turn the release valve clockwise to close it.
4. Check Hydraulic Fluid Level: With the jack fully lowered and the release valve open, remove the oil filler plug. The fluid level should be just below the filler hole. If low, add high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Replace the plug securely.

5. Operating Instructions

IMPORTANT: Always use jack stands to support the vehicle after lifting. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a floor jack.

1. Prepare the Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and place wheel chocks on the wheels that will remain on the ground.
2. Position the Jack: Locate the vehicle's designated lifting point (refer to your vehicle's owner's manual). Slide the floor jack under the vehicle, ensuring the saddle is centered on the lifting point.
3. Lift the Vehicle: Close the release valve by turning the handle clockwise until it is firm. Pump the handle up and down to raise the vehicle to the desired height.
4. Secure with Jack Stands: Once the vehicle is lifted, immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's designated support points. Slowly lower the vehicle onto the jack stands by gently turning the release valve counter-clockwise. Ensure the vehicle is stable on the jack stands before proceeding with any work.
5. Lower the Vehicle: After completing work and removing jack stands, raise the vehicle slightly with the floor jack to clear the jack stands. Remove the jack stands. Slowly and carefully turn the release valve counter-clockwise to lower the vehicle completely to the ground. Once fully lowered, remove the floor jack.

6. Maintenance

1. Lubrication: Periodically lubricate all moving parts with light machine oil.
2. Hydraulic Fluid: Check the hydraulic fluid level every three months. With the jack fully lowered and the release valve open, remove the oil filler plug. The fluid level should be just below the filler hole. If low, add high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not overfill.
3. Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and debris.
4. Inspection: Before each use, inspect the jack for any signs of damage, leaks, or wear. Do not use a damaged jack.
5. Storage: Store the jack in its portable case in a clean, dry place with the ram fully retracted.
