Setup

1. Unpacking the Radio

Verify that all items listed below are included in your package:

2. Attaching the Battery

Align the battery with the grooves on the back of the radio. Slide the battery upwards until it clicks into place. To remove, press the battery release latch and slide the battery downwards.

3. Attaching the Antenna

Screw the antenna into the connector on the top of the radio clockwise until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

4. Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the battery. Place the radio with the battery attached into the charging unit. The charging indicator light will typically show red during charging and turn green when fully charged. A full charge can take several hours.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

To power on the radio, rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise until you hear a click. To power off, rotate the knob counter-clockwise until it clicks.

2. Adjusting Volume

Rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.

3. Selecting a Channel

Rotate the Channel Selector knob (typically located next to the On/Off/Volume knob) to select one of the 16 pre-programmed channels. Ensure you are on the correct channel for your communication group.
