Operating Your Heated Blanket

Your Sunbeam Microplush Heated Blanket is designed for easy operation with its digital controller.

Powering On/Off:

  • Press the On/Off button on the digital controller to turn the blanket on. The LCD display will illuminate.
  • Press the On/Off button again to turn the blanket off.

Adjusting Heat Settings:

  • Once powered on, use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrow buttons to cycle through the 10 available heat settings.
  • The selected heat setting will be displayed on the LCD screen.

Preheat Feature:

  • To quickly warm your bed before getting in, press the Preheat button.
  • The blanket will heat up rapidly to a high setting and then automatically revert to your last selected heat setting after a short period.

Auto Shut-Off:

  • For safety and energy conservation, your blanket is equipped with a 10-hour auto shut-off feature.
  • The blanket will automatically turn off after 10 hours of continuous operation.
  • To restart the blanket after auto shut-off, simply press the On/Off button.

Washing Instructions:

Your heated blanket is machine washable. Follow these steps:

  1. Disconnect: Always disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and detach the controller(s) from the blanket before washing.
  2. Pre-soak (Optional): For best results, pre-soak the blanket for 15 minutes in cold water with a mild detergent.
  3. Machine Wash: Wash on the gentle or delicate cycle in a washing machine with warm water (maximum 105°F / 40°C). Do not use bleach.
  4. Rinse: Rinse on the normal cycle.
  5. Machine Dry: Tumble dry on low heat for 5-10 minutes. Remove the blanket while still damp and gently stretch it to its original size.
  6. Air Dry: Drape the blanket over a clothesline or shower rod to finish drying. Do not use clothespins. Ensure the blanket is completely dry before reconnecting the controller(s) and plugging it in.
