Video Output

The dock supports high-resolution video output. For optimal performance, ensure your computer and monitor support the desired resolution and refresh rate.

  • Single Display: Up to 8K@60Hz via DisplayPort.
  • Dual Display: Up to Dual 4K@30Hz using HDMI and DisplayPort simultaneously.
  • Note for MacBooks: MacBook models do not support MST (Multi-Stream Transport). M1 MacBook models can only extend a single monitor due to M1 chip limitations.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain the dock's performance and appearance, regularly wipe its exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

Fan Maintenance

The integrated cooling fan helps dissipate heat, especially from the M.2 SSDs. Ensure the ventilation holes are not obstructed to allow proper airflow. While the fan is designed for optimal cooling, some noise may be audible during operation.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power/Dock Not Responding:
    • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the dock and a working power outlet.
    • Verify the power outlet is functional.
  • Device Not Recognized/No Data Transfer:
    • Confirm your computer has a Thunderbolt 3 port and that the Thunderbolt 3 cable is securely connected to the correct port on both the dock and your computer.
    • Try a different Thunderbolt 3 cable.
    • Restart your computer and the dock.
    • For M.2 SSDs, ensure they are correctly installed and formatted. Check Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS).
  • Display Issues (No Signal, Incorrect Resolution):
    • Check all display cable connections (HDMI/DisplayPort) between the dock and your monitor(s).
    • Ensure your monitor is set to the correct input source.
    • Update your computer's graphics drivers.
    • Verify your computer and monitor support the desired resolution and refresh rate.
    • Remember M1 MacBooks only support single extended display.
  • Fan Noise:
    • The dock includes an active cooling fan. Some fan noise is normal, especially under heavy load or when M.2 SSDs are actively used.
    • Ensure the dock is placed in a well-ventilated area and that the fan vents are not blocked.
