Controls and Ports:

5. Setup
5.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the internal Li-Ion battery. Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the radio's USB-C port and the other end to a standard USB-A power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will illuminate. Charging typically takes about 2.5 hours for a full charge. The indicator will change color or turn off when charging is complete.
5.2 Powering On/Off
To turn the radio on, press and hold the Power button for approximately 4-5 seconds until the display illuminates. To turn off, press and hold the Power button again until the display turns off.
5.3 Network Connection (Wi-Fi)
For Internet Radio and UPnP functions, the radio requires a Wi-Fi connection.
- Upon first power-on, the radio will guide you through the initial setup, including Wi-Fi configuration.
- Alternatively, press the Menu button, navigate to "System Settings" or "Network", and select "Wi-Fi Setup".
- The radio will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password using the navigation buttons and the Volume/Select knob. Press the knob to confirm each character.
- Once connected, the Wi-Fi icon will appear on the display.
5.4 Initial Station Scan (DAB+/FM)
After connecting to Wi-Fi, perform a scan for DAB+ and FM stations.
- Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal reception.
- In DAB+ mode, the radio will automatically perform a full scan upon first selection.
- In FM mode, navigate to "Scan" in the menu to search for available stations.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 General Navigation
Use the Menu button to access main functions, the navigation buttons (Left/Right/Up/Down) to move through options, and the Volume/Select knob (press) to confirm selections. Rotate the knob to adjust volume or scroll through lists.
6.2 Internet Radio Operation
Access thousands of radio stations from around the world via your Wi-Fi connection.
- Press the Menu button and select "Internet Radio".
- You can browse stations by location, genre, popular stations, or search by name.
- Select a station to begin playback.
6.3 DAB+ Radio Operation
Enjoy high-quality digital radio broadcasts.
- Press the Menu button and select "DAB+ Radio".
- The radio will display a list of available DAB+ stations.
- Use the navigation buttons or Volume/Select knob to choose a station.
6.4 FM Radio Operation
Tune into traditional analog FM broadcasts.
- Press the Menu button and select "FM Radio".
- Use the navigation buttons to manually tune or perform a scan for available stations.
6.5 Bluetooth Streaming
Connect your smartphone or tablet to stream audio wirelessly.
- Press the Menu button and select "Bluetooth". The radio will enter pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for "Soundmaster IR6500SW".
- Select the radio to pair. Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the radio.
6.6 UPnP Network Player
Stream music files from compatible devices on your home network (e.g., a PC or NAS drive with UPnP server software).
- Ensure your UPnP server is active on your network.
- Press the Menu button and select "UPnP".
- The radio will scan for available UPnP servers. Select your server and browse your music library.
6.7 Saving Favorite Stations
The radio allows you to save up to 150 favorite stations across all modes, with 3 direct access buttons.
- While listening to a station, long press the FAV button. The display will show options to save to a preset number.
- Use the navigation buttons or Volume/Select knob to choose a preset slot and confirm.
- The three buttons above the FAV button (labeled 1, 2, 3) are direct access buttons. Long press one of these buttons to save the current station to that specific preset. Short press to recall.
6.8 Equalizer Settings
Adjust the sound profile to your preference.
- Press the EQ button to cycle through pre-set equalizer modes (e.g., Normal, Flat, Jazz, Rock, Classical, Pop, News, My EQ).
- You can also customize "My EQ" in the system settings.
6.9 Sleep Timer Function
Set the radio to automatically turn off after a specified period.
- Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep timer durations (e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, Off).
- The selected duration will be displayed. The radio will turn off automatically after this time.
6.10 Headphone Use
Connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the headphone jack for private listening. The internal speaker will be muted automatically.

7.1 Cleaning
Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish. Ensure no liquids enter the device.
7.2 Battery Care
To prolong battery life:
