Key components of your juicer include:
- Lever Arm: For effortless pressing of fruits.
- Reamer: The rotating cone that extracts juice from the fruit.
- Filter Basket: Separates pulp and seeds from the juice.
- Juice Collector/Container: Collects the extracted juice.
- Anti-drip Spout: Prevents juice from dripping after use.
- Motor Base: Contains the motor and electrical components.
Setup
Follow these steps to set up your juicer for first use:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Clean: Before first use, wash all removable parts (filter basket, reamer, juice collector, lever arm components) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The main motor base should only be wiped with a damp cloth.
- Assemble:
- Place the motor base on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
- Position the juice collector onto the motor base.
- Insert the filter basket into the juice collector.
- Place the reamer onto the shaft in the center of the filter basket.
- Ensure the lever arm assembly is securely in place over the reamer.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
To extract juice efficiently:
- Prepare Fruit: Cut citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, grapefruits, limes) in half.
- Place Fruit: Place one half of the fruit, cut-side down, onto the reamer.
- Engage Lever: Gently lower the lever arm over the fruit. The juicer will automatically start when pressure is applied to the reamer.
- Extract Juice: Apply steady, even pressure with the lever arm to extract the juice. The juice will flow through the filter basket into the juice collector. The filter basket will separate pulp and seeds.
- Anti-drip Spout: Ensure the anti-drip spout is in the open position to allow juice to flow into your glass or container. To stop the flow, push the spout upwards to close it.
- Repeat: Lift the lever arm, remove the squeezed fruit half, and repeat the process with the next fruit half.
- Finish: Once juicing is complete, unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
Care and Maintenance
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your juicer:
- Unplug: Always unplug the juicer from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Disassemble: Carefully remove the lever arm, reamer, filter basket, and juice collector from the motor base.
- Cleaning Removable Parts:
- Wash the reamer, filter basket, and juice collector in warm, soapy water immediately after use to prevent pulp from drying and sticking. A brush may be helpful for cleaning the filter mesh.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water.
- Important: These parts are not dishwasher safe. Hand washing is required.
- Dry all parts completely before reassembling or storing.
- Cleaning Motor Base: Wipe the exterior of the motor base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Store the assembled or disassembled juicer in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Juicer does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outage; improper assembly. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check your household's circuit breaker. Verify all parts are correctly assembled. |
| Poor juice extraction or reamer stops. | Too much pressure applied; fruit too large; filter basket clogged. | Apply gentle, even pressure. Ensure fruit halves fit properly on the reamer. Clean the filter basket if it appears clogged. |
| Juice leaks from the spout. | Anti-drip spout not fully closed. | Ensure the anti-drip spout is pushed fully upwards to the closed position. |
| Excessive noise or vibration. | Improper assembly; unstable surface. | Check that all components are correctly assembled and securely locked in place. Ensure the juicer is on a stable, flat surface. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
