This car seat is designed to provide maximum safety and comfort for your child from birth up to approximately 24 months (max. 13 kg or 45 cm - 87 cm height). Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the car seat to ensure proper installation and safe operation. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.

Important Safety Warnings

WARNING! Never leave your child unattended in the vehicle.

WARNING! Installation of this car seat on the front passenger seat with an activated front airbag is NOT PERMITTED.

Always ensure the car seat is correctly installed and secured according to the instructions. Failure to do so can result in serious injury or death in the event of a collision.

Regularly check all components for wear and tear. Discontinue use if any damage is observed.

Product Overview

Setup and Installation

The Aton B2 i-Size can be installed using the vehicle's seat belt or with an ISOFIX base (sold separately, e.g., Isofix Base One).

Installation with Vehicle Seat Belt:

1. Place the car seat rear-facing on the vehicle seat.
2. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated belt guides on the car seat.
3. Buckle the seat belt and pull it taut to remove any slack. Ensure the car seat is firmly secured and does not move excessively.
4. Verify that the lap belt is low over the child's hips and the shoulder belt is positioned correctly across the child's chest, not on the neck.

Installation with ISOFIX Base (Sold Separately):

1. Attach the ISOFIX base to your vehicle's ISOFIX anchor points. Ensure the indicators on the base turn green, confirming correct installation.
2. Extend the load leg of the ISOFIX base to the vehicle floor until it is firmly supported. The indicator should turn green.
3. Click the Aton B2 i-Size car seat onto the ISOFIX base. Listen for an audible click and check the indicators on the base to confirm secure attachment.
4. Gently pull on the car seat to ensure it is securely locked into the base.

Operating Instructions

Securing Your Child:

1. Place your child in the car seat. For newborns up to 60 cm, use the removable newborn insert.
2. Fasten the 3-point harness system. Ensure the straps are not twisted.
3. Tighten the harness straps until they are snug against your child's body, allowing only one finger to fit between the strap and the child's collarbone.

Headrest and Harness Adjustment:

The headrest is adjustable in 11 positions, and the harness system automatically adapts with the headrest adjustment.

1. Locate the headrest adjustment lever at the back of the car seat.
2. Squeeze the lever and slide the headrest up or down to the desired height. Ensure the headrest is positioned so the harness straps are at or slightly below your child's shoulders.
3. Release the lever to lock the headrest in place.

Canopy Operation:

The XXL canopy with UPF 50+ provides excellent sun and wind protection.

1. To extend the canopy, pull it forward from the top of the car seat.
2. To retract the canopy, push it back towards the handle.

SensorSafe Compatibility:

The Aton B2 i-Size is compatible with SensorSafe technology (sold separately), which provides alerts regarding your child's safety and well-being.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Fabric Covers:

The fabric covers are removable and machine washable. Refer to the care label on the fabric for specific washing instructions. Typically, they can be washed at 30°C on a delicate cycle.

Cleaning the Hard Parts:

The hard parts of the car seat can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Storage:

When not in use, store the car seat in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
