1. Product Overview

The Abestorm Filteair HEPA V2 Air Scrubber is a robust, portable air purification system designed for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. It features a 4-stage filtration system including a MERV-10 pre-filter, HEPA/Activated Carbon filter, and UV-C light technology to effectively remove airborne particles, odors, and pollutants.

This unit is ideal for environments requiring enhanced air quality, such as construction sites, during home remodeling, fire and water damage restoration, mold remediation, and general air purification in large spaces.

2. Setup Instructions

2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

  1. Carefully remove the air scrubber from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. Report any damage to the retailer immediately.
  3. Ensure all components are present: main unit, power cord, and filter cover.

2.2 Filter Installation/Access

The unit comes with pre-installed filters. To access or replace filters:

  1. Unlatch the four clips securing the front cover.
  2. Remove the front cover to expose the MERV-10 pre-filter.
  3. Remove the MERV-10 pre-filter.
  4. The HEPA/Activated Carbon filter is located behind the pre-filter. Carefully remove it for inspection or replacement.
  5. Reinstall filters in reverse order, ensuring they are seated correctly. Secure the front cover with the clips.

2.3 Power Connection

Connect the integrated power cord to a standard 115V AC, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet. The unit features a long power cord to minimize the need for extension cords.

2.4 Ducting Options

The unit is ductable for both intake (14-inch) and outlet (8-inch) to direct airflow as needed. Ducting is not included and must be purchased separately.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Control Panel Overview

  • Variable Speed Control: Rotary knob to adjust fan speed from minimum to maximum.
  • Change HEPA Filter Light: Illuminates when the HEPA filter needs replacement.
  • Circuit Breaker (12A): Protects the unit from electrical overload.
  • Auxiliary Outlet (115 Volts AC): Allows connection of additional devices. Max 12 Amps when the unit is off, 9.5 Amps when the unit is on.
  • Hour Meter: Displays the total operating hours of the unit.

3.2 Starting the Unit

  1. Ensure the unit is properly connected to a grounded power outlet.
  2. Turn the Variable Speed Control knob clockwise from the 'OFF' position to the desired fan speed. The unit will start operating.

3.3 Adjusting Airflow

Rotate the Variable Speed Control knob to increase or decrease the fan speed and airflow. Higher speeds provide faster air purification but may result in increased noise.

3.4 Daisy Chain Functionality

Utilize the auxiliary power outlet to connect up to two additional Abestorm air scrubber units (total of three units) to a single power source. This allows for combined airflow speeds of up to 1650 CFM for larger areas.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Filter Replacement

Regular filter replacement is crucial for optimal performance. The 'Change HEPA Filter' light indicates when the HEPA filter needs attention.

  1. MERV-10 Pre-Filter: Check regularly and replace when visibly dirty or airflow is reduced.
  2. HEPA/Activated Carbon Filter: Replace when the 'Change HEPA Filter' light illuminates or when odors persist after pre-filter replacement.

Refer to Section 2.2 for instructions on accessing and replacing filters.

4.2 UV-C Light Maintenance

The UV-C light is designed for long-term operation. For any issues or replacement needs, please contact Abestorm customer support. Our sales team will assist with maintaining the UV bulbs.

4.3 General Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.

5. Troubleshooting
