- Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Fill it with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level. Replace the tank securely.
- Power Connection: Ensure the control knob is in the "OFF" position. Plug the power cord into a grounded 220V electrical outlet. Turn on the main power switch on the side of the machine.
- Priming the Pump:
- Place a container under the portafilter head and under the steam nozzle.
- Turn the control knob to the "Espresso" position. Water will start to flow. Let approximately 100ml of water run through.
- Turn the control knob to the "Steam" position and open the steam valve (if applicable, usually by turning the steam knob). Let steam release for a few seconds until water stops coming out and only steam is visible. Close the steam valve.
- Turn the control knob back to "OFF". The machine is now primed.
- Pre-heating: Allow the machine to heat up for approximately 25 seconds. The indicator light will signal when it's ready for brewing.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Making Espresso
- Prepare Portafilter: Insert the desired filter basket (single or double shot) into the portafilter. Add finely ground espresso coffee. For a single shot, use about 7g; for a double shot, use about 14g.
- Tamp Coffee: Use the provided tamper to press the ground coffee firmly and evenly. Ensure the surface is level.
- Attach Portafilter: Align the portafilter with the group head on the machine. Insert it and turn it firmly to the right until it is securely locked.
- Place Cups: Place one or two pre-warmed espresso cups on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts.
- Brew Espresso: Ensure the machine is pre-heated (indicator light on). Turn the control knob to the "Espresso" position. Coffee will begin to flow.
- Stop Brewing: Once the desired amount of espresso is brewed (typically 25-30ml per shot), turn the control knob back to the "OFF" position to stop the flow.
- Remove Portafilter: Carefully turn the portafilter to the left to unlock and remove it. Dispose of the used coffee grounds.

5.2 Frothing Milk
The swiveling steam nozzle allows you to create frothed milk for cappuccinos and lattes.
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to about one-third full.
- Activate Steam: Turn the control knob to the "Steam" position. Wait for the indicator light to show that the machine has reached steaming temperature.
- Purge Steam Wand: Briefly open the steam valve to release any condensed water from the nozzle. Close the valve.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the steam nozzle just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam valve. Move the pitcher up and down slowly to incorporate air and create foam. Once the milk has doubled in volume and reached the desired temperature (around 60-70°C), close the steam valve.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing, wipe the steam nozzle with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly open the steam valve again to clear any milk from inside the nozzle.
- Return to Off: Turn the control knob back to the "OFF" position.

5.3 Cup Warmer
The integrated cup warmer on top of the machine helps maintain the temperature of your espresso. Place your cups on the warming plate before brewing.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your espresso machine.
- Daily Cleaning:
- After each use, remove and empty the portafilter. Rinse it and the filter basket under running water.
- Empty and rinse the drip tray. If the overflow indicator is visible, it's time to empty it.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Clean the steam nozzle immediately after frothing milk as described in section 5.2.
- Water Tank Cleaning: Clean the water tank regularly with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Descaling: Depending on water hardness and frequency of use, descaling should be performed every 2-3 months. Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for espresso machines and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- Mix the descaling solution with water according to instructions and fill the water tank.
- Run half of the solution through the espresso function (without coffee).
- Run the other half through the steam function.
- Rinse the machine thoroughly by running several tanks of fresh water through both the espresso and steam functions.
