2. What's in the Box
Upon unboxing your Epson EcoTank L3250 printer, ensure all the following components are present:

3. Setup Guide
3.1 Initial Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the printer from its packaging.
- Remove all protective tapes and packing materials from the exterior and interior of the printer. Refer to the quick start guide for specific locations.
- Place the printer on a flat, stable surface with adequate space around it for ventilation and paper handling.
3.2 Filling the Ink Tanks
The EcoTank system uses refillable ink tanks. Follow these steps for a spill-free refill:

- Open the ink tank unit cover on the side of the printer.
- Open the cap for the ink tank you wish to fill (e.g., Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow).
- Uncap the corresponding ink bottle. The bottles are designed to fit only the correct color tank to prevent accidental mixing.
- Insert the ink bottle into the tank's filling port. The ink will automatically flow into the tank. Do not squeeze the bottle.
- Once the tank is full, the ink flow will stop. Remove the bottle and securely close the ink tank cap and the unit cover.
- Repeat for all other colors.
3.3 Power Connection and Initial Ink Charging
- Connect the power cable to the printer and then to a wall outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
- The printer will begin an initial ink charging process. This may take several minutes. Do not turn off the printer or disconnect the power during this process.
- Once ink charging is complete, the power light will stop flashing and remain steady.
3.4 Software Installation and Connectivity
Install the necessary drivers and software to enable printing from your computer or mobile device.
- For Computer: Insert the driver CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive and follow the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, download the latest drivers and software from the official Epson support website.
- USB Connection: Connect the printer to your computer using the provided USB cable. The computer should detect the printer and install basic drivers automatically.
- Wi-Fi Connection:
- Ensure your printer and computer/mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Use the Epson Smart Panel App (available for iOS and Android) for guided Wi-Fi setup and mobile printing.
- Follow the instructions in the software installer for Wi-Fi setup on your computer.

4. Operating the Printer
4.1 Loading Paper
Load paper into the rear paper feeder. Ensure the paper guides are adjusted to the width of the paper.
- Supported Paper Sizes: A4, A5, A6, B5, C6, DL.
- Max Input Sheet Capacity: 100 sheets.
- For best results, use high-resolution paper.
4.2 Printing Documents and Photos
You can print from your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
- From Computer: Open the document or image you wish to print, select "Print" from the application's menu, choose the Epson L3250 printer, adjust print settings (e.g., paper size, quality, color/monochrome), and click "Print".
- From Mobile Device: Use the Epson Smart Panel App or other compatible mobile printing apps (e.g., Mopria Print Service) to select documents or photos and send them to the printer via Wi-Fi.

4.4 Copying Documents

- Place the document face-down on the scanner glass.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Ink Refilling
Monitor ink levels regularly and refill tanks before they run completely empty to prevent air from entering the ink tubes. Refer to Section 3.2 for detailed ink refilling instructions.
5.2 Print Head Cleaning
If print quality declines (e.g., missing lines, faded prints), perform a print head cleaning. This can be done through the printer's utility software on your computer or via the Epson Smart Panel App.
- Open the printer driver settings on your computer.
- Navigate to the "Maintenance" or "Utility" tab.
- Select "Head Cleaning" and follow the on-screen prompts.
- After cleaning, print a nozzle check pattern to verify print quality. If issues persist, perform another cleaning cycle.
5.3 General Cleaning
Regularly clean the exterior of the printer with a soft, damp cloth. For the scanner glass, use a lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the glass.
6. Troubleshooting
