Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your DKE PC Power Button:
- Prepare your PC: Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet before opening the case.
- Locate Motherboard Connectors: Open your PC case and locate the front panel header pins on your motherboard. You will typically find labels such as "POWER SW" (or "PWR SW"), "POWER LED" (or "PLED"), and "HDD LED". Refer to your motherboard's manual for exact pin locations if unsure.
- Connect the Power SW Splitter Cable:
- Disconnect the existing "POWER SW" cable from your motherboard's front panel header.
- Connect the female end of the provided Power SW splitter cable to the "POWER SW" pins on your motherboard.
- Connect the original "POWER SW" cable from your PC case and the "POWER SW" cable from the DKE Power Button to the two male ends of the splitter cable.
- Connect LED and HDD Cables (Optional):
- The DKE Power Button also includes "POWER LED" and "HDD LED" connectors. If desired, disconnect your existing Power LED and HDD LED cables from the motherboard.
- Connect the DKE Power Button's "POWER LED" and "HDD LED" cables to the corresponding pins on your motherboard.
- Note: Connecting the LED cables is optional and provides visual feedback on power status and hard drive activity through the DKE button's light.
- Route the Cable: Carefully route the 2-meter cable from the DKE Power Button out of your PC case. Ensure it does not interfere with any internal components or fans. You may use an empty expansion slot opening or a cable management grommet.
- Position the Button: Place the DKE Power Button in your desired comfort place. The button features an adhesive base, allowing you to stick it securely to a flat surface.
- Close PC Case and Power On: Close your PC case, plug your computer back into the wall outlet, and power it on.

- Avoid exposing the device to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Ensure the cable is not pinched or strained, which could damage the internal wiring.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your DKE PC Power Button, consider the following:
- Button not responding:
- Check all cable connections to the motherboard to ensure they are secure and correctly seated.
- Verify that your PC's power supply is connected and receiving power.
- Test the original PC case power button (if still connected via the splitter) to confirm the motherboard's power pins are functional.
- LED not illuminating:
- Ensure the "POWER LED" cables from the DKE button are correctly connected to the positive and negative power LED pins on your motherboard. Polarity matters for LEDs.
- Confirm your PC is powered on.
- Intermittent functionality: Check for any loose connections or damage to the cable.
If problems persist, consult a qualified computer technician or contact DKE customer support.
