Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning Digital Thermometer: Wipe the probe with a damp cloth and mild soap before and after each use. Do not immerse the digital unit in water.
  • Cleaning Analog Thermometers: The leave-in meat thermometer and oven thermometer can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or place in a dishwasher.
  • Storage: Store all thermometers in a clean, dry place when not in use.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace AAA batteries in the digital thermometer when the display becomes dim or inaccurate.

Troubleshooting

  • Digital Thermometer Not Turning On: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
  • Inaccurate Digital Readings: Ensure the probe is inserted deeply enough into the food and not touching bone. Allow sufficient time for the reading to stabilize (approx. 6 seconds).
  • Analog Thermometer Fogging: If the glass lens fogs, it may indicate moisture ingress. Ensure the thermometer is not subjected to extreme temperature changes too rapidly or immersed in water.
