2. Setup and Installation
Before operating your ice maker, ensure proper setup to guarantee optimal performance and safety.
2.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials.
- Inspect the ice maker for any shipping damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
- Ensure all accessories are present: 1 x Nugget Ice Maker, 1 x User Manual.
2.2 Placement
- Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and level surface.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Maintain at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) of space from walls or other objects.
- Avoid placing the unit near heat sources (e.g., ovens, radiators) or in direct sunlight.
- The unit dimensions are approximately 17.63"D x 10.43"W x 17.72"H.

2.3 Water Refill Options
Your ice maker offers two convenient ways to refill the water reservoir:
- Manual Refill: Open the top lid and pour water directly into the 3-quart reservoir. This method is suitable for portable use or when a water line connection is not feasible.
- Automatic Refill: Connect the included 10ft inlet hose to a potable water supply. This provides continuous water supply, eliminating the need for manual refills.
Note: It is recommended to use pure or distilled water for optimal ice quality and to minimize mineral buildup. Water with TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) less than 50ppm is ideal.

3. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate your Thereye Nugget Ice Maker.
3.1 Control Panel Overview
The intuitive control panel features indicators for ice status and alerts.

3.2 Initial Use
- Before first use, perform a self-cleaning cycle (refer to Section 4.1).
- Fill the water reservoir using either the manual or automatic method.
- Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet.
3.3 Ice Making Process
- Press the 'ON/OFF' button to start the ice making process.
- The unit will begin producing nugget ice within approximately 15 minutes.
- The 'ICE FULL' indicator will illuminate when the ice basket is full, and the unit will pause ice production.
- The 'ADD WATER' indicator will illuminate when the water reservoir is low, and the unit will pause. Refill water to resume.

3.4 Ice Collection
Once ice is produced, use the provided ice scoop to retrieve the nugget ice from the storage basket. The ice maker is well-insulated to maintain ice for an extended period, with approximately 70% of ice remaining at 80°F after 12 hours.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your ice maker.
4.1 Self-Cleaning Feature
The ice maker is equipped with a self-cleaning function to simplify internal cleaning.
- Ensure the unit is empty of ice and water.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean water (and a descaling solution if needed, following solution instructions).
- Press and hold the 'CLEAN' button for 3 seconds to start the self-cleaning cycle.
- The cycle will run automatically. Once complete, drain the water from the unit.

4.2 Regular Cleaning
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Interior: Periodically clean the water reservoir and ice basket with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Descaling: If using tap water, mineral buildup may occur. Use an ice maker descaling solution as recommended by the manufacturer or a mixture of water and vinegar to descale the unit regularly.
4.3 Water Quality
The quality of water used directly impacts ice quality and unit longevity. Using water with low TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) is highly recommended to prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance.
