1. Introduction

The VTech Sing It Out Karaoke Microphone is designed for children aged 2-5 years, offering an interactive singing experience. This microphone features 15 preloaded children's songs, a vocal track removal function for karaoke style singing, five voice-changing effects, color-changing party lights, and Bluetooth wireless technology to connect to external music sources.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the microphone.
2. Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 3 new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Batteries included are for demo purposes only; new batteries are recommended for regular use.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw.

3.2 Powering On/Off

Slide the ON/OFF switch located on the microphone handle to the 'ON' position to power on the device. Slide it to 'OFF' to power off.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Functions

• Volume Control: Use the volume buttons (marked with '+' and '-') to adjust the microphone's output volume.
• Preloaded Songs: The microphone includes 15 classic children's songs. Use the forward and backward arrow buttons to navigate through the songs. Press the play/pause button to start or stop a song.
• Vocal Track Removal: While a preloaded song is playing, press the vocal track button (often depicted with a smiling face or music note icon) to remove the lead vocals, allowing for karaoke-style singing. Press again to restore vocals.
• Voice Effects: Activate the voice-changer button (often depicted with a microphone icon or 'FX') to cycle through five silly voice effects, including reverb, echo, and robot sounds.
• Party Lights: The microphone features color-changing lights that flash along to the music, enhancing the performance experience.
• Encouraging Sounds: The microphone provides encouraging phrases and applause sounds after performances.

4.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

To play your own music through the microphone:

1. Ensure the microphone is powered on.
2. Activate Bluetooth on your external music device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
3. Search for available Bluetooth devices and select the VTech Karaoke Microphone.
4. Once connected, you can play music from your device, and it will be amplified through the microphone's speaker. Note: Lyrics from external music sources cannot be removed by the microphone's vocal track function.

Wipe the microphone with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water or use harsh cleaning agents.
