4. Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your FACOM Jet.8NM3A Jet Trolley.
- Cleaning: Wipe the trolley surfaces with a dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used, followed by drying. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the finish or materials.
- Drawer Slides: Periodically check the ball-bearing drawer slides for smooth operation. If necessary, clean any debris and apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant.
- Wheels: Inspect wheels for wear and tear. Keep them free of debris to ensure smooth rolling.
- Safety Hooks: Ensure drawer safety hooks are functioning correctly to prevent accidental opening.
- Worktop: The worktop is resistant to hydrocarbons, but spills should be cleaned promptly to maintain its condition.
5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Jet Trolley.
- Drawers not closing completely:
- Check for any obstructions inside the drawer or along the slides.
- Ensure the drawer is not overloaded beyond its capacity (20-25 kg).

- Drawers opening unintentionally during movement:
- Confirm that the drawer safety hooks are properly engaged when the drawer is closed.
- Ensure the trolley is not being moved too quickly or over excessively uneven surfaces.
- Trolley difficult to move:
- Check if the brakes on the swivel wheels are engaged. Release them for movement.
- Inspect wheels for debris (e.g., string, hair) that might be impeding rotation.
- Ensure the trolley is not overloaded beyond its total permissible load (170 kg in drawers, 900 kg static load on worktop).
- Key lock not functioning:
- Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned correctly.
