Setup
1. Placement
Place the Bose TV Speaker directly in front of your television, centered, on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the speaker that could block the sound. The Bass Module 500 can be placed anywhere in the room, ideally near a wall or corner for optimal bass performance, but not directly against a wall.
2. Connections
Connect the Bose TV Speaker to your television using one of the following methods:
- HDMI ARC (Recommended): Connect one end of an HDMI cable (not included) to the HDMI ARC port on your TV and the other end to the HDMI ARC port on the Bose TV Speaker. This connection allows your TV remote to control the speaker's volume.
- Optical Cable: Connect the included optical cable from the OPTICAL OUT port on your TV to the OPTICAL IN port on the Bose TV Speaker. Ensure the protective caps are removed from the optical cable ends before connecting.
- AUX Input: For devices without HDMI ARC or optical output, connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your device's audio output to the AUX IN port on the Bose TV Speaker.
