4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Mounting the Fan

  2. Assemble the downrod to the fan motor assembly.
  3. Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it on the mounting bracket.

4.2 Wiring the Fan

  1. Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram provided in the separate wiring instructions (if applicable) and local electrical codes. Typically, this involves connecting live, neutral, and ground wires.
  2. Ensure all connections are secure using wire nuts.
  3. Tuck the wires neatly into the junction box.

4.3 Attaching the Blades

  1. Attach each fan blade to the motor housing using the provided screws. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.

5. Operating Instructions

The Canarm CP56D10N fan is controlled by a wall-mounted remote control (model RREM-DCQ014-W), which is sold separately. This fan does not operate with a standard wall switch.

5.1 Using the Wall Control

  1. Power On/Off: Use the main power toggle switch on the wall control to turn the fan on or off.
  2. Adjusting Fan Speed: Press the speed control buttons to cycle through available fan speeds (e.g., low, medium, high).
  3. Changing Fan Direction: Use the reverse button to change the direction of the fan blades. This is useful for seasonal comfort: downward airflow for cooling in summer, and upward airflow to circulate warm air in winter.
