3. Setup
The JOYOUNG Portable Countertop Dishwasher requires no permanent installation due to its built-in water tank. Follow these steps for initial setup:
- Placement: Place the dishwasher on a stable, level countertop near a power outlet and a sink for drainage. Ensure there is enough space for the door to open fully.
- Drain Hose Connection: Connect the drain hose to the designated outlet on the back of the dishwasher. Route the other end of the hose into a sink or drain. Ensure the hose is not kinked and is securely positioned to prevent leaks.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Water Filling: Open the water inlet cover on the top of the dishwasher. Use the provided pitcher to pour 5 liters of clean water into the tank. The dishwasher will signal when the tank is full.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate your JOYOUNG Portable Countertop Dishwasher:
- Load Dishes: Open the dishwasher door and pull out the dish rack. Arrange dishes, bowls, and cutlery. Utilize the detachable holder for smaller items or remove it to accommodate larger items like pots.

- Add Detergent: Place a small amount of dishwasher detergent into the designated dispenser. Do not use liquid dish soap.
- Select Program: Close the door. On the control panel, select one of the 5 washing programs:
- Heavy: For heavily soiled dishes (approx. 120 mins wash, 90 mins dry).
- Normal: For general dishware (approx. 90 mins wash, 90 mins dry).
- Light: For lightly soiled dishes (approx. 29 mins wash, 90 mins dry).
- Rinse: For washing fruits or vegetables (approx. 10 mins).
- Self-clean: For cleaning the dishwasher interior (approx. 10 mins).

- Start Cycle: Press the Start/Pause button to begin the selected wash cycle.
- 360° Dual Spray Arms: The dishwasher utilizes upper and lower spray arms for thorough cleaning.

- Air-Dry Function: After the wash cycle, the dishwasher automatically initiates an air-dry function to ensure dishes are dry and fresh.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dishwasher.
Cleaning the Filters:
The dishwasher is equipped with a Flat Filter and a Coarse Filter. These should be cleaned regularly to prevent blockages and ensure efficient washing.
- Locate the filter assembly at the bottom of the dishwasher tub.
- Twist and lift the filter assembly to remove it.
- Separate the Flat Filter and Coarse Filter.
- Rinse both filters under running water to remove any food particles or debris. Use a soft brush if necessary.
- Reassemble the filters and place them back into the dishwasher, ensuring they are securely locked in place.
Cleaning the Interior and Exterior:
- Interior: Run the 'Self-clean' program periodically to clean the interior of the dishwasher. You can also wipe down the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your dishwasher, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
