3. Setup Instructions

Before using your RamPro sprayer for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Inspect: Check for any visible damage or missing parts. Ensure all seals and gaskets are properly seated.
  3. Assemble (if necessary): The sprayer typically comes pre-assembled. If any parts like the nozzle or pump handle are detached, securely attach them.
  4. Initial Rinse: Fill the tank with clean water and spray it out to flush any manufacturing residue.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Filling the Sprayer

  1. Unscrew Pump: Twist the pump handle counter-clockwise to remove it from the tank.
  2. Fill Tank: Pour the desired liquid (water, fertilizer, herbicide, cleaning solution) into the tank. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (2 Liters / 68 Ounces).
  3. Secure Pump: Place the pump back into the tank and twist clockwise until it is securely closed and sealed. A good seal is crucial for building pressure.

4.2 Building Pressure

  1. Unlock Trigger: Ensure the trigger lock (if engaged) is disengaged before pumping.
  2. Pump Handle: Pump the handle up and down repeatedly. You will feel resistance as pressure builds inside the tank.
  3. Continue Pumping: Continue pumping until sufficient pressure is achieved. The less liquid in the bottle, the more pumps may be required.

4.3 Spraying

  1. Activate Spray: Press the thumb spray button to release the liquid.
  2. Continuous Spray: For continuous spraying, slide the switch on top of the spray button to engage the trigger lock. This holds the button down without continuous thumb pressure. Remember to unlock this switch before pumping more air.

4.4 Adjusting the Nozzle

The brass nozzle can be adjusted to change the spray pattern:

  • Fine Mist: Twist the nozzle clockwise for a gentle, fine mist, ideal for delicate plants or even coverage.
  • Water Column: Twist the nozzle counter-clockwise for an intense, direct water column, suitable for targeted application or cleaning.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your sprayer.

  • After Each Use: If using chemicals, rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water and spray out the remaining water until the tank is empty. This prevents chemical residue buildup and nozzle clogging.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: If the nozzle becomes clogged, unscrew it and rinse under running water. A small brush or pin can help clear stubborn blockages.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the sprayer with a damp cloth.
