Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide or unclip the cover to open it.
- Insert 3xAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Mounting Options
The VIRONE LA-7 can be used in two ways:
- Wall Mounting: Use the integrated mounting holes on the back of the device. Secure it to a wall using appropriate screws (not included) at a height that allows optimal motion detection (typically 1.5 to 2 meters from the floor).
- Freestanding: Place the night light on any flat surface, such as a bedside table, shelf, or cabinet. Ensure it is stable and not prone to falling.
Operating Instructions
The VIRONE LA-7 features a blade switch to select its operating mode.
Operating Modes:
- OFF Position: The light is completely off and will not activate.
- ON Position (Continuous Light): The light will remain continuously on, regardless of ambient light or motion.
- AUTO Position (Motion & Twilight Sensor): This is the primary automatic mode.
- The integrated twilight sensor detects ambient light levels. The light will only activate if the surroundings are dark enough.
- Once darkness is detected, the motion sensor becomes active. If motion is detected within its 5-meter range, the light will turn on.
- The light will stay on for approximately 30-40 seconds after the last detected motion, then turn off automatically if no further motion is detected.
To select a mode, slide the blade switch located on the side or bottom of the device to the desired setting.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
When the light output diminishes or the device stops functioning, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup" section to replace the 3xAA batteries. Always use new alkaline batteries for optimal performance.
Cleaning:
To clean the device, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water. Ensure the device is off before cleaning.
