3. Safety Information
WARNING: Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries can be dangerous if not handled correctly. Always follow these safety guidelines.
- Always supervise batteries during charging and discharging. Never leave batteries unattended.
- Use a fire-safe charging bag or enclosure when charging LiPo batteries.
- Ensure all connections are secure and correct before initiating any process. Incorrect polarity or connections can cause damage or fire.
- Do not overcharge or over-discharge LiPo batteries. Refer to your battery manufacturer's specifications.
- Avoid touching the board with bare hands during operation to prevent accidents, especially when components may be hot.
- Always unplug the balance cable from your main charger *before* unplugging the main charging cable.
- Read the instructions for your main charger thoroughly before using this balance board.
4. Setup
The HGLRC Thor 6 Port Lipo Battery Balance Charger Board Pro comes with the balance board itself, an extended charging cable, and an extended balancing cable. A compatible main LiPo charger (e.g., IMAX B6, ISDT Q6 Nano, HOTA D6 Pro P6) is required and sold separately.
- Place the balance board on a stable, non-flammable surface.
- Connect the extended charging cable (XT60 or XT30) from the main input port of the balance board to the output port of your main LiPo charger.
- Connect the extended balancing cable from the balance port of the balance board to the corresponding balance port on your main LiPo charger.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Charging LiPo Batteries
- Ensure the balance board is correctly connected to your main charger as described in the Setup section.
- Connect your LiPo batteries to the appropriate XT60 or XT30 ports on the balance board. Ensure the connectors are fully seated and polarity is correct.
- Connect the balance lead of each battery to the corresponding balance port on the board. The board supports 2S to 6S batteries. Refer to the diagram on the back of the board for correct balance lead placement.
- Set your main LiPo charger to the correct LiPo charging mode (e.g., Balance Charge), cell count (e.g., 4S), and desired charge current. The maximum input current for the board is 40A, and maximum balance current is 2A.
- Initiate the charging process on your main charger. Monitor the charging progress and battery status.
- Once charging is complete, first unplug the balance cable from your main charger, then unplug the main charging cable. Finally, disconnect the batteries from the balance board.

5.2. Discharging LiPo Batteries
The board features an integrated lithium battery discharger to bring batteries to a safe storage voltage of 3.8V per cell.
- Connect the LiPo battery you wish to discharge to the dedicated discharge port (XT30 or XT60) on the balance board.
- The integrated LED digital tube display will show the current voltage of the battery.
- Use the small button next to the display to cycle through and select the correct cell count (2S-6S) for your battery.
- The board will automatically begin discharging the battery until each cell reaches approximately 3.8V.
- Monitor the display to confirm the discharge process is complete. Disconnect the battery once the target voltage is reached.
