WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, observe the following:
- Always disconnect power before servicing or cleaning the unit.
- Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment to prevent back-drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
- When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
- Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
- Do not use this unit with any solid-state speed control device.
- This unit must be grounded.
- Clean grease filters frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
- Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.

4.1 Dimensions and Cutout
Before beginning installation, ensure you have the correct dimensions for your cabinet cutout. The product dimensions are 27.8 inches (W) x 11.5 inches (D) x 10.3 inches (H). The recommended installation cutout dimensions are 26 inches (W) x 10.2 inches (D).

4.2 Ducted vs. Ductless Installation
Your range hood can be installed in two configurations:
- Ducted Installation: Vents air directly outside through a 6-inch round top vent. This method provides the most effective removal of cooking fumes.
- Ductless (Recirculating) Installation: For homes without external venting options, the hood can be converted to ductless operation by installing charcoal filters (Model CFZMG13, sold separately). These filters absorb odors and grease before recirculating the air back into the kitchen.
Refer to the full installation guide provided with your product for step-by-step instructions on mounting and wiring.

The Zomagas Range Hood Insert is designed for simple and intuitive operation using its front push-button controls.

- To remove filters, locate the quick-release switch on each filter and pull it to disengage.
- Carefully slide the filters out of their slots.
- Place the filters in your dishwasher for a thorough cleaning cycle. Alternatively, wash them by hand with hot, soapy water.
- Ensure filters are completely dry before re-installing them.
- Slide the dry filters back into their slots until they click securely into place.
