Operating Instructions

Once installed, the FITCAMX Dashcam operates automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.

Automatic Recording:

The dashcam begins recording automatically when the vehicle starts. Video files are saved in segments to the Micro SD card.

Loop Recording:

When the memory card is full, the dashcam will automatically overwrite the oldest unlocked video files to continue recording. This ensures continuous operation without manual intervention.

G-Sensor (Emergency Recording):

In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor detects the event and automatically locks the current video segment. These locked files are protected from being overwritten by loop recording.

Audio Recording:

Audio recording can be enabled or disabled via the FITCAMX mobile application settings.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your FITCAMX Dashcam, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Clean the Lens: Regularly wipe the dashcam lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video recording.
  • Micro SD Card: Format the Micro SD card periodically (e.g., once a month) using the dashcam's settings in the app. This helps maintain card health and prevents data corruption. Back up any important files before formatting.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the dashcam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods. The dashcam housing is made of PC+ABS material designed to withstand high temperatures, but extreme conditions can still affect performance.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the FITCAMX official website or app for any available firmware updates to ensure your dashcam has the latest features and bug fixes.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your FITCAMX Dashcam, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Dashcam Not Powering On: Ensure the power connection to the rain sensor is secure. Check if the vehicle's ignition is on.
  • Recording Issues: Verify that the Micro SD card is properly inserted and not full. Try formatting the card via the app. Ensure the card is a high-speed Class 10 or U3 card.
  • WiFi Connection Problems: Make sure the dashcam is powered on. Restart your phone's WiFi and try reconnecting. Ensure you are within range of the dashcam's WiFi signal.
  • Poor Video Quality: Clean the dashcam lens. Check the video resolution settings in the FITCAMX app to ensure it is set to 4K (2160p).
  • G-Sensor Not Triggering: Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity settings in the FITCAMX app.

If problems persist after attempting these steps, please contact FITCAMX customer support for further assistance.
