6. Troubleshooting
- Date and Time Not Holding: If the dash cam consistently loses date and time settings, ensure it is receiving constant power. A hardwire kit (not included) can provide continuous power, especially for parking monitoring features, and help maintain time settings.
- Dash Cam Freezing or Not Turning On: If the device freezes or fails to power on, try unplugging and re-plugging the power cable. Ensure the power source is stable. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- Screen Not Clear / Reflections: Adjust the screen brightness settings. Ensure the protective film is removed from the screen. Reflections can sometimes be minimized by adjusting the camera angle or screen position.
- Touch Screen Responsiveness: If the touch screen is unresponsive, ensure the screen is clean and dry. Restarting the device may resolve minor software glitches.
- Poor Night Vision: Ensure the camera lens is clean. Verify that HDR is enabled in the settings. External lighting conditions can significantly impact night vision performance.
- GPS Signal Issues: Ensure the GPS module is mounted in a location with a clear view of the sky, free from obstructions. Check the connection of the GPS module to the main unit.
