2. Package Contents

Upon opening the package, please verify that all the following components are present and in good condition:

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Installing Batteries

The ABPM50 operates on AA batteries. Open the battery compartment on the back of the device and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.

3.2 Attaching the Blood Pressure Cuff

  1. Select the appropriate cuff size (Adult or Large Adult) based on the patient's arm circumference.
  2. Connect the cuff's air tube securely to the air port on the top of the ABPM50 main unit.
  3. Ensure the connection is firm to prevent air leakage during measurement.

3.3 Initial Power On and Settings

  1. Press the power button (usually marked with a power symbol or green button) to turn on the device.
  2. Upon first use, you may need to set the date, time, and measurement units (mmHg or kPa). Use the navigation buttons (up/down arrows, OK/Menu) to adjust settings.
  3. Ensure the display language is set to English for optimal understanding.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Manual Measurement

  1. Ensure the cuff is correctly placed on the patient's arm, approximately 2-3 cm above the elbow, with the air tube running down the center of the arm.
  2. The patient should be seated comfortably, relaxed, with their arm supported at heart level.
  3. Press the Start/Stop button (green button) to initiate a manual measurement. The cuff will inflate, and the device will display the systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate readings.
  4. The measurement data will be automatically saved.

4.2 Ambulatory (24-Hour) Monitoring

For 24-hour monitoring, the device will automatically take measurements at preset intervals. Refer to the device's menu for setting these intervals (e.g., every 15 minutes during the day, every 30 minutes at night). Ensure the patient wears the device comfortably and securely in the provided carrying pouch.

4.3 Navigating the Display and Data Review

The high-definition color TFT display allows for easy navigation and data review. Use the menu and navigation buttons to access different display modes:
