3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of each handset.
- Connect the battery pack connector securely into the jack inside the compartment.
- Place the battery pack into the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
3.2. Connecting the Base Unit
- Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the main base unit.
- Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.
- Plug the small end of the power adapter into the POWER jack on the main base unit.
- Plug the large end of the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
3.3. Connecting the Charging Cradle
- Plug the small end of the power adapter into the POWER jack on the charging cradle.
- Plug the large end of the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
3.4. Charging the Handsets

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Making and Receiving Calls
- To Make a Call: Press the TALK button (green handset icon), then dial the number. Alternatively, dial the number first and then press TALK.
- To Receive a Call: When the phone rings, press the TALK button.
- To End a Call: Press the END button (red handset icon) or place the handset back in its cradle.
4.2. Using the Speakerphone
During a call, press the SPEAKER button (speaker icon) to activate the speakerphone function. Press it again to switch back to the handset earpiece.
4.3. Phonebook
The phonebook can store up to 30 names and numbers. To add a new entry, navigate to the Phonebook menu, select 'Add New', and follow the prompts to enter the name and number. To dial from the phonebook, access the Phonebook menu, scroll to the desired entry, and press TALK.
4.4. Call Blocking
The VTech CS2001 allows you to block up to 30 unwanted numbers. To block a number, access the Call Blocking menu, select 'Add New', and enter the number you wish to block. You can also block numbers directly from the Caller ID list.
4.5. Internal Calls (Handset to Handset)
