Maintenance

  • Waterproof Design: The camera has an IP66 waterproof rating, protecting it from rain, dust, and fog. Ensure the housing is securely closed at all times.
  • Battery Life: The camera offers up to 6 months of standby time in hibernation mode. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears. Consider using rechargeable batteries for long-term use.
  • SD Card Management: Regularly check the SD card for available space. Format the SD card periodically to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
  • Lens Cleaning: Gently clean the camera lens and PIR sensors with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear images and accurate motion detection.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera Not Turning On: Ensure batteries are correctly inserted and fully charged. Check if the power switch is in the 'Setup' or 'On' position.
  • Poor Battery Life: Verify battery quality. Using high-quality alkaline or rechargeable batteries is recommended. Frequent video recording or high PIR sensitivity can increase power consumption.
  • WiFi/Bluetooth Connection Issues:
    1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the camera is nearby (within 75ft).
    2. Confirm the camera's WiFi is activated via Bluetooth before attempting to connect directly to the WiFi network.
    3. Double-check the WiFi password (default: 12345678).
    4. If the app shows "Connected without internet," this is normal as the camera's WiFi is a direct connection, not an internet gateway.
  • Password Protection Concerns: The camera has a default universal password. For enhanced security, change the password via the app settings. Be aware that the WiFi password may be displayed on the camera screen when the housing is open.
  • No Sound in Videos: Check the "Record Audio" setting in the camera or app settings to ensure it is enabled.
  • Camera Not Capturing: Ensure the SD card is inserted correctly and has sufficient free space. Check PIR sensitivity and interval settings.
