1. Introduction

1.1 Product Overview

The Oster 2-Slice Touchscreen Toaster is designed for efficient and precise toasting. It features an intuitive touchscreen interface with Easy Touch technology, allowing for simple operation. A digital countdown timer displays the remaining toasting time, ensuring your toast is ready when expected. 2.1 Unpacking and Placement

1. Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials.

2.2 First Use (Burn-Off Cycle)

Before using for the first time, operate the toaster without bread for a few minutes on the highest shade setting. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. It is normal for a small amount of smoke or odor to be present during this process.

3.1 Powering On/Off

Plug the toaster into a standard electrical outlet. The touchscreen will illuminate. To turn the toaster off, press the ON/OFF button on the touchscreen.

2. On the touchscreen, select your desired toast shade setting from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest).
3. Press the toast lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin.

3.4 Digital Countdown Timer

The quick-check lever allows you to temporarily raise the bread carriage to check the browning progress without interrupting the toasting cycle. Simply lift the lever to view, then release it to continue toasting. This lever also assists in easily removing smaller items once toasting is complete.

3.7 Canceling Toasting

To stop the toasting cycle at any time, touch the CANCEL icon on the touchscreen. The toast will automatically pop up.

4.1 Removable Crumb Tray

1. Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Locate the removable crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster.
3. Pull the tray out to remove it.
4. Discard crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth.
5. Ensure the tray is completely dry before reinserting it into the toaster.
