Setup and Charging

Before first use, fully charge the unit. Regular charging is recommended to maintain battery health.

Initial Charging

  1. Locate the built-in AC charging adapter on the unit.
  2. Plug the AC charging adapter into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.
  3. The digital display will indicate charging status. Charge until the unit shows a full charge.

Battery Status Check

The digital display provides real-time battery status. Ensure the unit is adequately charged before use, especially for jump-starting.

Operating Instructions

1. Jump Starting a Vehicle

The PPRH5V provides 1200 peak amps for jump-starting cars and trucks up to 8-cylinders. The Engine Start Smart Controller offers reverse polarity protection.

  1. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and all accessories are unplugged.
  2. Connect the red positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  3. Connect the black negative (-) clamp to a non-painted metal part of the vehicle's chassis, away from the battery.
  4. Turn on the Jump-Starter Power Switch on the unit.
  5. Attempt to start the vehicle. If it doesn't start immediately, wait a few minutes and try again.
  6. Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the black negative (-) clamp first, then the red positive (+) clamp.

2. Using the 500W Power Inverter

The unit provides 500 watts of household power via its dual 120V AC outlets for small appliances and tools.

  1. Ensure the unit is adequately charged.
  2. Plug your appliance or tool into one of the 120V AC outlets.
  3. Turn on the AC/USB Power switch.
  4. Monitor the digital display for power output information.

3. Using the 120 PSI Air Compressor

Inflate tires or sports equipment with the built-in 120 PSI air compressor. It features a digital autostop to prevent over-inflation and a 10-minute auto shut-off timer.

  1. Attach the air hose to the tire valve or use the sports needle adapter for other inflatables.
  2. Set the desired PSI using the '+' and '-' buttons on the control panel.
  3. Press the AIR button to start inflation. The compressor will automatically stop when the set pressure is reached.
  4. The compressor has a 10-minute auto shut-off timer to prevent overheating.

4. Using the USB Charger

The 10W USB port allows you to charge and power various electronic devices like phones, tablets, and gaming devices.

  1. Connect your device's USB charging cable to the USB port on the unit.
  2. Turn on the AC/USB Power switch.
  3. Your device should begin charging.

5. Using the LED Work Light

The integrated LED work light provides illumination in low-light conditions.

  • Press the LED button to turn the work light on or off.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your VECTOR PPRH5V unit.

  • Recharging: Recharge the unit after each use and at least every 3 months if not used, to maintain the internal battery's life.
  • Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  • Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cable Care: Inspect jumper cables and clamps for damage before each use. Replace if frayed or damaged.
