Setup and Assembly

Operating Instructions
1. Getting Started
- Step onto the pedals one foot at a time, holding onto the stationary or moving handlebars for balance.
- Begin pedaling in a smooth, elliptical motion.

2. Console Functions
The console displays various workout metrics. Power on the console by pressing any button or by starting to pedal.

- TIME: Displays the duration of your workout.
- SPEED: Shows your current speed.
- DISTANCE: Tracks the total distance covered during your session.
- CALORIES: Estimates the calories burned.
- PULSE: Displays your heart rate when holding the pulse sensors.
- SCAN: Cycles through all metrics automatically.
- MODE/RESET: Press to select display mode or hold to reset values.
3. Resistance Adjustment
The HMS H6996 features a magnetic resistance system. Adjust the resistance level using the tension knob located on the main frame. Turn clockwise to increase resistance and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
4. Heart Rate Monitoring
To measure your heart rate, firmly grasp the pulse sensors on the stationary handlebars. Your heart rate will be displayed on the console after a few seconds.
